A Network To Build Chicago Arts Audiences

Do-It-Yourself Video for Non-Profits Workshop

Presented by Community Media Workshop

For many nonprofit organizations, video remains one of those mysterious communications tools.  This hands-on class will help you get started!

An expert video producer from See3 Communications, Stacy Laiderman, will teach you the basics around making a video and will walk you through all the steps from pre-production (everything you need to do before the shoot) to production (everything you need to do during the shoot). Then you’ll be set loose, capture some actual footage, and get your work evaluated. Whether you have some video experience or none at all, you’ll walk away with new techniques that will improve your videos.

In this workshop you will learn:

- Learn how to determine which story to tell

- What equipment you’ll need to be prepared

- How to set up a good shot and get good sound.

This workshop will run from 9am to noon.

Also, check out See3's Video FAQs, their guide to online videos, and their webinar on YouTube for nonprofits if you need some quick video tips.
