Facilitator: Mark Drozd, Partner/Creative Director, Simple Truth; Board Member, EPIC (Engaging Philanthropy, Inspiring Creatives)
Gain an understanding of strategies for creating a marketing and branding plan for your organization. Learn about techniques to promote your brand through social media and other current marketing methods. Discover how creating the right marketing strategy can make your organization and programs more effective. Learn about EPIC (Engaging Philanthropy, Inspiring Creatives), which matches advertising and design professionals with nonprofit clients in the fields of education, children and families for eight week creative sessions on a pro-bono basis.
About the facilitator:
Mark Drozd has been a creator of brand communications for over 30 years. He was an integrated marketing writer and creative director with Foote, Cone & Belding (now Draft FCB) in New York, London and Chicago. For the last ten years he has been building brands with Simple Truth in Chicago. During his career, Mr. Drozd has cultivated the brand voice for Ace Hardware, Allstate, Chicago History Museum, Citibank, Sunrise Senior Living, United Air Lines and Wendy’s. He has also worked with several nonprofit organizations including Morris Animal Foundation, Guild for the Blind, and Midwest Palliative Hospice and Care Center. Mr. Drozd is active in the Chicago design community, serving on boards with AIGA, the professional association for design, and EPIC, the creative resource for needy nonprofit organizations.
General Information

• All workshops will include a panel of experienced nonprofit staff and/or board members to add insight to the topics.
• All workshops will take place at the Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Ave. Times vary.
• Note street meters run until 9pm and have a two hour limit. Longer term parking is available at the Church Street Self Park at Church St. and Chicago Ave.
• This workshop will include a light supper.
• Workshops will include time to network with other attendees.
