Jennifer Harris, Principal, JL Harris Associates
Jennifer Harris is a seasoned marketing communications professional who loves working with creative arts and business professionals of all stripes. A copywriter and marketing consultant, Jennifer provides marketing, communications and public relations services to businesses and fine arts organizations. Before becoming a solo practitioner, Jennifer was general manager of Chaffee Group, a niche-marketing agency. In her previous lives, Jennifer was a marketing communications manager at Computer Sciences Corporation, a public relations account executive, an editor of trade and consumer magazines, a freelance writer and a producer of program books for arts organizations.
Jennifer has been a Business Volunteer for the Arts since 2004. She has worked as a SmartGrowth consultant and helped arts organizations on a wide range of projects, from grantwriting, strategic planning, marketing strategies and tactics, Web marketing and public relations. In 2008, she earned a certificate in nonprofit management from Duke University.
