Weekend Media Boot Camp Workshop

A Convenient Saturday Workshop for Board members and Volunteers

Presented by Community Media Workshop

How can you better tell your organization's story? How can you engage donors and policy makers, customers and neighbors in your work? Discover effective communications strategies that use your values to build strong messages in an intensive interactive training workshop. Community Media Workshop is hosting a special Saturday Boot Camp to accommodate executive directors, volunteers and others who can't usually attend weekday sessions. Breakfast and lunch is included.

Participants in this workshop will learn:

- How to build a plan

- Craft and practice an engaging elevator speech

- Gain insights on using the tools of social media alongside traditional outlets

- Engage journalists and bloggers in practice story pitching

Led by Community Media Workshop founder Thom Clark and his team, this six-hour workshop includes handouts, worksheets, breakfast, and lunch. The workshop begins at 9am and runs to 3pm on October 16th.
