Developing College Student Audiences

AEE is considering offering a free workshop about marketing to college students.  Are there Chicago-area organizations who have had success developing college students as audiences through programmatic and/or marketing initiatives?  Is this something you would like to learn about?

Will Rogers just posted some great ideas and examples of organizations marketing to college students. You can check out his post here.

Also, all the follow-up ideas from the AEE Learning Forum, Campus Connection, are very helpful. The summary from the brainstorming session provides advice, suggestions, and examples from local arts organizations about what they are doing to engage college students. You can also listen to a recording of the whole event here or read one of the moderator’s thoughts on how to market to college students.

What I found especially helpful was the student perspective given by Ashtin Berry’s blog post. She provides an insightful look into what students want. Also, the Beloit Mindset List offers useful information on the cultural background that shapes the lives of students today.
